FUNDRAISING

Based on the needs expressed by our Principal, Mr. Brian Armes, we have set a goal to raise funds to provide the following. Most of this information is guaranteed to change as we do more research and progress further toward these goals. :)  Your ideas and feedback are welcome!

• Age-appropriate playground equipment for Pre-school and Kindergarten age students (approximate minimum cost: $12,000)
• Marquis in front of the school (approximate minimum cost: $7,000)
• Microscopes (24 qty. approximately $120 each)
• Microwaves for the lunch room (2 qty., approximately $40 each)
• Hands-on math and science experiments and experiences in the "Discovery Room", designed for interaction between students and parents/members of the community with math/science expertise
• Teacher/staff appreciation
• Library books
• Other ongoing needs as per the administators/teachers/staff

These hefty fundraising goals can and will be met by the terrific effort of everyone involved in the PTO!  We are excited about the following fundraising efforts, and are looking forward to additional activities, as well:

• Walk-a-Thon - Sept. 25, 2010 was wildly successful!  Details coming soon as to how much we earned toward the playground equipment... wahooo!!
• Fall Carnival - Oct. 28 will focus on teachers who create booths for earning funds for their own classrooms, then the PTO will benefit beyond that. It is going to be spook-tacular!!
• Book Fair - will generate funds and book donations for our library.
• Friday Snack Sales -  affectionately called the "Mustang Market" will generate funds for the above noted needs.

 Please let us know of your ideas, feedback and we appreciate those who have already signed up to be involved!  And we encourage those who haven't yet, to do so.  We would love to have you on board!
