Plant Facilities Levy Election
DATE: Tuesday, December 7, 2010
TIME: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
WHERE: All Bonneville Joint School District 93 schools (except Telford)
Patrons of Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 are being asked to vote on a $2,800,000 Plant Facilities Levy to be used over the next 10 years.
This Levy is Not A New Tax!
What is a plant facilities levy?
Plant facilities is a 10 year levy used for maintaining, remodeling, repairing, furnishing and equipping existing buildings and facilities, purchasing school buses, upgrading technology, and other capital improvements as provided by law.
The monies from this levy will be used for:
- Maintaining and upgrading communications and safety and security systems;
- Maintaining and upgrading outdoor facilities, grass, shoolyards, and playgrounds;
- Maintaining and/or replacing heating and ventilation systems;
- Replacing worn carpets;
- Replacing roofs;
- Improving energy efficiency;
- Maintaining and purchasing school buses;
- Upgrading and/or replacing old technology;
- Replacing and repairing asphalt parking lots and sidewalks; and
- Other capital improvements as needed.
